The Piermont First Aid Stabilization Team (FAST) Squad is on call 24/7 to provide pre-hospital emergency care to anyone in Piermont who has called 911 for a medical emergency, accident, or illness. We also work closely with the town’s Emergency Management Department to assist in any town-wide emergency.

Emergencies affect everybody’s life at some time. The Squad responds to all FAST and Fire calls and appreciates the support and assistance given by the Fire, Police, and Emergency Management Departments to help affect the best outcome of such a call.

In addition to responses to 911 calls, we provide a wide-range of non-emergency medical cover for Piermont residents and also participate in community functions including Emergency Preparedness Training events held by the Emergency Management Department.

We are always looking for energetic, dedicated, and compassionate volunteers who are willing to join the Squad and obtain the Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT). This qualification comprises about 120 hours of training. The Squad will reimburse, over time, a successful pass. There are additional levels of EMT, and we encourage these.

Training nights are usually held the last Thursday every month at the Fire Department. Residents are encouraged to come down and see what the FAST Squad is all about. Please contact us or attend a training night if you are interested.
